Wind energy - recommended books

Wind energy is one of the oldest energy technologies in use today. The main categories are:

  • Large wind turbines feeding feeding electricity onto the grid - wind farms, off shore, individual machines on industrial estates etc. 10m - 120m rotor diameter.
  • Small to medium-sized turbines feeding feeding electricity onto the grid - farms, residences etc. 2m - 10m rotor diameter
  • Small to medium-sized turbines supplying off-grids systems - farms, residences, boats etc. 1m- 10m rotor diameter
  • Wind pumps - mechanical and electrical.
